-Take one more! –Why are you leaving so early! -Stop being a party pooper!
-I’m fine! -I drive better when I’m drunk! –I’m just nearby!
Do you recognize these phrases?
If the answer is yes, then you will know how easy it is to have one too many.
It is easy to believe that everything will be fine and that you are able to drive when you have been drinking alcohol, not thinking you are endangering yourself, your passengers, other drivers and pedestrians.
While drunk driving you don’t think about family either, but in fact they are the ones who really suffer the consequences of your actions, they are the ones who will have to get money to hire a lawyer, try to pay bail, and run the household expenses while the person is in jail.
And even worse, if the impaired driver does not have proper documents in the United States, the consequences of drunk driving could lead to deportation.
Take this into account before drinking and driving. Remember that it is better to be safe than sorry.
